Tara Turene, Graduate Student Intern – Mental Health Counseling

Therapist

My greatest passion is helping individuals rediscover who they are and prove to themselves that their past does not define who they are or who they will become. With over a decade of experience in the mental health and substance abuse field, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging transitions.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Indian River State College and am currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. Throughout my professional journey, I have served in multiple roles across behavioral health and social service settings. My clinical background includes trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, case management, and wraparound services for individuals navigating addiction recovery, family instability, and emotional distress. I take pride in creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to achieve their goals. These experiences have deepened my belief that lasting healing happens when people are given the tools, compassion, and encouragement to reclaim their sense of self. At iMind Mental Health, I strive to continue fostering positive change by meeting clients where they are, helping them uncover their strengths, and guiding them toward resilience and self-empowerment.
